The Tellus Open Platform API lets CPMS providers, EMS partners, aggregators, and Tellus’s own diagnostic tooling integrate with every Tellus charger in the field — from AC wallboxes to 1.2 MW DC ultra-fast units to Battery-integrated Chargers to V2G-capable bidirectional chargers.
“Reliable. Innovative. Future-Ready.”

What you can build

Operator integrations

CPMS / EMS / Aggregator clients querying sites, devices, charging records, and aggregated energy in real time.

Realtime telemetry

Subscribe to per-connector telemetry over WebSocket — sub-second updates on power, energy, and SOC.

V2G and grid services

Bidirectional discharge, scheduled charging, and site-wide load-flexibility commands.

Coexists with your existing CPMS

Tellus chargers ship with multiple protocols enabled, so you can choose the integration shape that fits your platform:
  • OCPP 1.6-J and OCPP 2.0.1 for standards-based CPMS connections
  • The Open Platform API (this documentation) for first-party Tellus integration
  • ISO 15118-2 and ISO 15118-20 for Plug & Charge and bidirectional power flow
  • V2G extensions including Stellantis / Free2move DrossOne integration patterns
Firmware version 260420.0107 and later supports a customer-configurable second backend — when enabled, the operational CPMS continues to handle session management via OCPP while complementary diagnostic and energy services consume the same fleet via the Open Platform API. The second channel is opt-in and entirely under customer control. See Coexisting with OCPP for details on data sovereignty and hosting regions.

Looking for the Tellus Console?

The Tellus Console is built on this API. It runs in two modes — a Fleet Console for operational management and a Diagnostics Console for hardware health, faults, and component-level telemetry. If you’re a partner evaluating what’s possible on top of Tellus chargers, it’s the fastest way to see the API rendered as a working product.
